We have lots of volunteer opportunities!

We have listed these opportunities according to our greatest needs.

On-Site Administrator

The on-site Administrator works with the Resource Director to ensure the volunteers on site have a fulfilling work day. Possible tasks include greeting volunteers, registration, directing volunteers and/or traffic, setting up shade canopies and tables, delivering water and ice, helping with catering services, and running errands. Hours may vary from 7AM or 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM or 10 AM. On-site Administrators are needed primarily Saturdays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, although special events may require their help as well. This can be done on a rotating basis and construction knowledge is not necessary, but people skills are important.

Photographers

Habitat is in need of photography volunteers to help capture build activity as it happens, as well as cover some of our special events. Photos then will be used in v various publications and on our website. This is a wonderful opportunity for a photography student looking to build his or her portfolio, or for experienced photographers who are willing to share their time and talents. Site Recycling Manager

To help further our green building efforts, we need designated Site Recycling Managers! Volunteers are responsible for working with the Resource Director to ensure items on the build site are recycled properly throughout the build day. This would include collecting recyclable products from homes and placing them in the appropriate containers, and ensuring we stay on track with our green building efforts. Hours are flexible on build days.

Gardeners

We need people to assist with our landscaping requirements both for our subdivision and our homes. Hours are flexible!

Office Angels (Data Entry & General Office)

Assist the office personnel with office tasks during business hours. Volunteers are needed to assist with data entry on an on-going basis. Volunteers should have great attention to detail, be task-oriented and be able to work with little supervision. The schedule and specific assignments will vary.
