Committee Volunteers

Giving Critical Guidance...

Not good at swinging a hammer? We have different talents and interests. Habitat can put them to use! Just look at the opportunities listed below. Habitat Committees typically meet on weeknights at our Administrative Office on Browns Ferry Street, but check with the committee to be certain. Construction, Finance, and ReStore Committees need volunteers with relevant experience.

Interested? Contact us to let us know. If you have any questions or a committee is not listed, call (256)230-6001.

For every hour a volunteer spends on site, there are approximately ten hours spent behind the scenes, volunteering in the office, ReStore, on committees, and at special events.

* denotes committees where some knowledge or experience relevant to that committee is required.

Construction Committee *

The Construction Committee is involved in all aspects of the construction process including plan design and development, cost estimates, acquiring permits, bid process, materials acquisition and storage, and house constructing.
