While participating in the Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Blitz build in Mobile County, Alabama, Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter worked on "our" house!

United Way/Habitat Build Day

On Saturday, June 21st, Habitat for Humanity, United Way, and families got together to build parts for upcoming homes.

Building Homes

Habitat for Humanity, Athens/Limestone County Chapter has completed the Winter 2007 build. In addition, the Builders Blitz build is nearly done.

Continuing Green Building in Athens and Limestone County

We are continuing to search for environmentally friendly building techniques and materials. Currently, we are using better insulation and water heaters, as well as CFL (Compact Flourescent Lightbulbs) in our homes where possible. Our visit to Mobile gave us more ideas about how to make a more durable and environmentally friendly house. Stay tuned for details. Contact us with any ideas!
